One of the main topics on which my research is based is the kinematic analysis of parallel manipulators, in particular the analysis of their working space and their singularities. In addition, in recent years I have investigated modular and reconfigurable manipulators, which allow greater variability in designs and adaptation to different tasks. Recently, I have delved into the field of continuum parallel manipulators, analyzing their analogies and differences with their rigid counterparts.
During my research career I have attended numerous International Conferences in the field of robotics, computational kinematics, mechanism design, etc. I have published more than 20 research papers in indexed International Journals. Regarding the projects in the field of mechanical engineering, I have worked in 10 Research and Development Projects, as for example the European Project OPENAER.
At the moment, I am working as an Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the Bilbao School of Engineering, University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), and I belong to the CompMech Research Group.
